Iceland

In February 2023, I travelled to the far north west of Iceland to the peninsula of Hornstrandir to photograph arctic foxes. Hornstrandir is only accessible by boat, has no roads and is almost completely uninhabited in the winter months with only a couple of properties being used. We arrived a day late because of bad weather and left half a day again because of bad weather. We were the first group to travel to our property this winter and were greeted by frozen pipes and no water supply, meaning that water had to be brought by sled from a local well. It all made for a fascinating few days with the arctic foxes in the area. Here are some photos from this trip.
