New Year in 2023 saw me leaving the UK in January for my first ever visit to India in search of what proved to be very elusive tigers. We visited Bandhavgarh and Kanha but it wasn't until about the 9th day of the trip that we had more than fleeting encounters with these beautiful and powerful creatures. Lots of other wildlife though and some great street scenes when we weren't out in the forest
